VFX: Portfolio review + Tips to get the job you want!
Hi!
During this one hour session(often more...!), my goal is simple: To give you hints, tricks and feedbacks that I would have loved to get when I started in the industry 18 years ago!
A bit about me:
1. Since I started working in the Vfx industry, I had diverse positions, from 3D generalist(Modeling/Tracking/Layout/Fx simulations/Textures/Precomp), to Matte Painter and then to Visual Development artist.
2. I’ve had the opportunity to work on major franchises such as
Spider-Man: Far from Home, Dr Strange: in the Multiverse of Madness, Blade Runner 2049, Captain Marvel, Army of the Dead, DeadPool 2, Terminator:Genisys, X-men Days of Future Past...
3. I am currently working as Head of Visual Development at Framestore(Vfx for AAA films), we are working on titles like the next **Spider-Man No Way Home, Moonfall, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness...**
You can find some of my professional and personal work here:

4. I have been interviewing and accompanied new hires to find their way in that very competitive field for years in different companies, I reviewed tons of portfolios, given many interviews and submitted thousands of frames myself for reviews, either to Vfx Supervisors or Directors.
A bit just for you:
1. Your portfolio is the main tool you'll have to open the main doors of the industry(either Games or Films productions).
2. Your selected frames should reflect by themselves who you are as an artist and technician and also as a future professional.
3. Let me help you in the stressfull process of getting the position you are looking for:
4. By defining your strenghts and weaknesses, with a focused review on your portfolio, I will help via advices using paintovers and references, to upgrade your current frames for your next potential interviews.
Hopefully this review will get you closer to your goals!
I think the flexibility here using IAMAG platform, gives anyone who is willing to pursue these type of careers strong opportunities to get real feedbacks from established and experienced professionals.
See you soon!
