Organic Design
The goal of this five hour mentorship is simple : help you improve your organic design sense.
This obviously can mean trees and rocks but also creatures, citys, anything lush, precarious, asymetrical, rich, bouncy. From reference gathering, both the expected and the rest, to first sketches and then final render, I will walk through the whole creative process that I came up with as I was working on movies such as the Croods, How to train your Dragon and many others.
I approached Nicolas in order to help create a vis dev portfolio pretty much from scratch, having worked as an illustrator but with no real world experience in vis dev. Nicolas was extremely patient, knowledgeable, kind and thorough with his critique and structural suggestions i regards to building an effective portfolio. Besides being highly experienced he is also a great teacher, and has given me numerous invaluable tips that are applicable to various kinds of visual storytelling. I highly recommend Nicolas as a mentor and teacher.
