Designing a story - from idea to execution
A good story is the foundation of a successful artwork.
In the next 5 weeks, you will learn how to turn an idea into a fully developed visual story. We will learn how to identify themes in a story, how to choose the right directing approach, design, sketch, develop the right mood and create a memorable narrative experience for our audience.
We will focus on developing analytical thinking, self assessment and give the right tools for the student to grow as a storyteller.
Who is this course for:
This course is for anyone who is interested in any type of visual storytelling: Animation filmmakers, graphic novel artists, illustrators, game cinematics artists, live action directors and storyboard artists.
The students will choose the field they are interested to work in, and will receive specifically constructed assignments according to their artistic goals.

Topics covered:
-How to come up with ideas for a story
-Developing believable characters with real emotions and needs
-Directing a story
-How to use composition and light to achieve a desirable emotional response
Course outcome:
By the end of the course, the students will have a fully developed project for their portfolio, or a presentable pitch for potential publishers and investors.
So if you are an artist and you want to learn how to impact your audience better, or if you have an idea for a story and you want the right guidance to develop it, or if you are interested in storytelling and have no idea where to start, this course is for you.
this class is open to all levels, from beginners to pros.
*The students should have at least a basic ability to visually express ideas (sketching, 3d, photography, etc.). It's fine if you are not a master draftsman yet, but you should feel comfortable expressing yourself visually.
